The 76th Independence Day Programme was celebrated in Amrita Vidyalayam Kozhikode with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The Principal hoisted the national flag. All the students and teachers saluted the flag and then sang the national anthem followed by the pledge. The students of the four houses started their march past and paid their respects to the national flag. The principal delivered a speech highlighting the importance of sacrifice, and how children are the future of the nation and should be responsible for their behavior. Subsequently there were speeches by teachers and students followed by cultural programmes. Patriotic songs, dance, fancy dress competitions, etc. were held. The programme concluded with the prize distribution ceremony.
