Janmashtami was celebrated by Amrita Vidyalayam Kozhikode with great pomp and festivity. The entire school participated in the celebrations. There were tiny tots dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha, dancing to the beats of Janmashtami songs. Students of higher classes enthralled the audience with a special group dance praising Lord Krishna. A small skit that encouraged good values was presented. Finally, students, teachers as well as parents participated in ‘pot breaking’ with great enthusiasm and zeal. All the students offered flowers at the feet of Lord Krishna and received puja prasad.
