Honouring the father of the Library Movement, Sri P.N. Panicker, the 29th National Reading Day was celebrated on June 19th. Sri P.N. Panicker pioneered the establishment of the first library in Kerala, and this marked the advent of the literacy movement in India. Since then, reading is celebrated all over India to respect and honour the contribution of Sri P.N.Panicker.
Our school observed Reading Day by paying tribute to Sri P.N. Panicker. Sreeshma Ma’am spoke on the occasion about the importance of reading. Students highlighted the importance of reading and conducted many reading activities in the library. Reading Week will be conducted in the school to encourage our students to read more.
